Husband and wife team Jennifer and Michael McNally are the songwriters and founding members of The McNallys (formerly Diamond in the Rough). The McNallys are active in the Southern California music scene, have recorded two CDs of their original compositions and a "live" cd (available for purchase on their website), and were nominated for best local recording by the San Diego Music Awards.They regularly participate in charity events for a diverse number of organizations (the Fund for Animals and Nicole Brown Foundation are two recent examples) giving back to the communities that support them.

Lead Vocalist & Lead Guitar

Jennifer, lead vocal and lead guitar, is originally from Rhode Island, but has lived in Southern California for over 20 years. Her influences include Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bonnie Raitt, The Pretenders, and Fleetwood Mac. There is a natural effortlessness to Jennifer's voice, its raspy translucence caressing each thoughtful lyric. Her unique vocal style incorporates blues and rock, giving Jennifer a distinct musical voice of her own.

Michael McNally Bass, Harmonica,and Vocals

Michael is originally from Louisiana and grew up in Long Beach, CA. He is an accomplished harmonica player and plays a six string bass to give the band a solid foundation. When Michael plays both the harmonica and bass, he uses his own, custom-built harmonica holder.
